Re-roofing projects
Weather protection while tiles, slates, coverings, battens or roof structures are removed and replaced.
Weather Protection • Roof Works • Designed Access
Temporary roof scaffold systems planned around the building, span, work programme, access, sheeting requirement, weather exposure and supporting scaffold.
A temporary roof creates a protective covering above exposed building work. It can help roofing, refurbishment and structural projects continue while the original roof is open, but the system must be selected and planned for the building geometry, duration, wind exposure and access needed beneath it.
Weather protection while tiles, slates, coverings, battens or roof structures are removed and replaced.
Cover over open walls, new roof construction and phased refurbishment where the interior needs protection.
Larger-span protection for managed buildings and contractor programmes, with loading and access coordinated.
Temporary protection planned to reduce water exposure while maintaining safe routes and work areas.
Project photography
This sheeted temporary-roof scaffold is from the BlackFox project collection. For your project, send roof dimensions or drawings, photographs of the building and surrounding access, the planned work and the period for which protection is required.

Temporary roofs are quoted following a survey or reliable drawings because span, support and weather exposure materially change the safe arrangement and price.
A temporary roof is not selected by building length alone. The clear span, support scaffold, roof profile, sheet type, exposure, site boundaries, lifting method and sequence of the underlying roof work all affect the arrangement. Open sides, partial dismantling and changes to the enclosure can also change how the structure responds to wind.
Reliable drawings and photographs help with initial pricing, but a survey is often appropriate before a temporary-roof proposal is confirmed. The quotation should identify what is included, how the roof will be erected or moved where applicable, the expected hire period and whether a site-specific scaffold design is required.
The need depends on the proposed system, dimensions, loading and support conditions. Many temporary roofs require design input, which is confirmed after the arrangement is reviewed.
Provide the postcode, building dimensions, photographs or drawings, roof work, required clearance, programme, site access and any sheeting or enclosure requirements.
That depends on entrances, fire routes, noise, lifting, public interface and the underlying work. Occupancy constraints should be declared before planning starts.
Planned adaptations or sheet removal may be possible, but changes must be reviewed and carried out by authorised scaffolders because they can affect the structure and weather loading.
Send the postcode, photographs or drawings, working height, intended trade and programme dates. BlackFox Scaffolding will review the access requirement and arrange a survey where needed.
